retro einrichtung wohnzimmer
hi y'all and welcome to berlin! we've been here for a few days and have already settled in! berlin is always worth a trip, especially for me as i have many friends here. it's always good to be back! right now, i am riding around the neighbourhood with my bike... it's friday evening and it is still beautiful warm outside. i simply thought to make the most out of my time here and enjoy the after-work vibe in the streets what else is there to say about my time here in berlin? we are here in total about 3 1/2 weeks and we rented an apartment in prenzlauer berg...
...i will show it to you later on, too! and we work a lot on different projects. i'll tell you later a bit more about them. well, what else? yesterday, for example, we checked out some co-working spaces here in the city. co-working spaces are big here in berlin, but not only here, in general in the digital nomads scene. ok, am i missing something else? well, i guess, that's it for now... let's go for a quick ride! i am close by the berlin wall park and i have just found something that is probably boring for all my german viewers, but... i simply feel like a tourist right now, so i'll take you quickly through it anyways!
here are some signs with info about the berlin wall which you can read in german and english :-d and if you press this button, you'll get a lot of facts about the history of the berlin wall... cool, this wasn't planned, but it's nice anyways! so everyone who wants to know more about the berlin wall finds here a lot of interesting facts! well, to be honest, i have learn a lot about german history throughout my life... well i was born in germany, and in school they teach you a lot... but every time i read such info boards or especially here in berlin, i realize how much you actually forget.. shhh, don't tell anyone! i'll keep reading a bit and see if i can fresh up my memory a bit...
so i think that's enough about history for a friday evening, i'll hit the road now and get myself something for dinner from the supermarket... and perhaps a beer, well it's the weekend after all! the confession i will be really honest now, and i have to admit that i think we are very lucky here in germany.... ....or at least, let's put it this way: we have a lot of freedom in regards to alcohol. behind me there is just one example of the many 24-7 shops that offer alcohol day & night. also, it's a very common sight that people walk around the streets with a bottle of beer for example. and it's very common, especially in summer time. it's something completely normal here in germany to meet outside with friends and share a drink.
but in many other countries that wouldn't be possible. a commonly known example is the us, but also in places like latin america it's legally forbidden to walk around the streets with alcohol in your hand. so every time i am back in germany, i somehow enjoy this special freedom. and even if i won't walk around with a beer in my hand tonight, i still buy one now and will enjoy it later on even more... we just arrived at home - well, not really our home but at least for the period of time that we are here. usually, i am a big fan of airbnb but this time i did it differently i posted in several facebook groups for digital nomads in berlin that we would be here. and luckily it worked out extremely well and within a day we'd found a girl that rented her apartment to us. welcome to 'my home'!
i'll quickly show you around and start with the living room. the dining table with my special friend! here i work during the day... and here a green flower corner before we enter the kitchen... the little bedroom, which is really cozy and that's about it. that's our apartment. well, now what else can i tell you? like i said before, we've been working on a bunch of interesting projects, jey jetter vlog is one of them. berlin has been very inspirational, every time i am in a place like this, it feels like it pushes me more towards creative thinking. at least that's what i like to think!
so with the vlog i want to start presenting a bit more from my life as a digital nomad. so the last days in berlin, i will show you around and hopefully you'll join me on my future travels and follow my channel! i also have a video in the making that i mentioned before, about co-working spaces, where i compare three places here in berlin.... well, hopefully you'll enjoy my videos, i am excited and can't wait to shoot the next one! that's it from me for now, on a friday evening, here in berlin! take care and see you soon!
